Why am I looking at pictures of iris?

Before it was a trend (yes, I know, how hipster of me) I used to take pictures of people’s irises to see if this whole "study of iridology" thing made any sense. Look, I know it sounds super esoteric, and I’m the least esoteric person you’ll meet, but there’s apparently some science behind it. Not that I can explain it, even though I’ve read about it a million times.

So yeah, the pictures? Definitely better than my attempt to explain irises. They were all shot with a macro lens, extension tubes attached, and a ring flash (removed in post).
